Frequently asked questions
Who prepares breakfast?
Practically anyone on the team can do it. Starting The Oater takes about two minutes. Add roughly five minutes to check the station, swap a container if needed and wipe the table. The process is standardised so it doesn't depend on one single person.
Which Breakfast Bases are available?
Muesli and granola, porridge, plus high-protein and high-fibre Bases. You start with four Breakfast Bases and up to 30 varieties are possible. High protein and high fibre are currently planned assortment and not yet orderable.
How does porridge work in self-service?
Porridge Bases sit in swap containers like every other Base. Employees fill their bowl and add oat drink or hot water – warm or cold, whichever they prefer.
What does the location need?
The Oater needs power plus a water and waste water connection. The Breakfast Bar needs about 1.0 × 0.8 m of space – on an existing table or on our mobile serving trolley. We take care of connections and installation.
What happens after the 2-week pilot?
If the Breakfast Bar is well received, you can move straight into regular operation. If not, we dismantle and collect the system at no further cost.
What if almost everyone works from home on Fridays?
No problem. You decide which days the Breakfast Bar is used. The dry Bases stay in their closed swap containers. The minimum volume applies monthly – not per day.
What happens to leftover oat drink?
Fresh oat drink can stay in the machine for up to four hours. After that it is drawn off, chilled and used for coffee or other drinks. The Oater reminds you automatically and flushes the system if it isn't drawn off.
Who handles resupply and container cleaning?
The Oater. We resupply Bases in pre-filled swap containers and clean the returned containers. On your side, only the usual cleanliness of the station remains.
What hardware do we have to buy?
None. The Oater and the Breakfast Station are part of the monthly system fee.
What product and allergen information is provided?
Every Breakfast Base is clearly labelled in line with UK allergen labelling requirements (including Natasha's Law). We supply structured product and allergen information – you don't have to compile it.
